The Rochester Exposure Limit Calculator is a software tool developed by Ethan A. Rossi, Ph.D. and Jennifer J. Hunter, Ph.D. to simplify the process of determining safe light levels for an adaptive optics scanning laser ophthalmoscope (AOSLO). It consists of an easy to use graphical user interface that allows the user to enter all of the details that impact light safety calculations and instantly calculates both ANSI standards and Rochester Exposure Limits. We have developed the Rochester Exposure Limit (REL) as a more conservative limit than the ANSI that takes into account new data obtained by ARIA researchers.

The REL calculator is currently available for both 32 and 64 bit Windows systems. To obtain a copy of the software, please contact: Laura McKnight Senior IP Manager, , UR Ventures, University of Rochester
